While I don’t necessarily have a long list of things that I want from these cyber week sales, I did find a few different pieces from the sales. I think there are some amazing savings out there, especially on the home front! It’s that time of year! Plenty of posts on Nordstrom Anniversary sales out there, so if you’re reading this… I appreciate your time and dedication to this cause 😀
I love fashion, I love sales, and getting things at a great price, so this is like Christmas morning for me! Another fun part of this sale is that it gets me SUPER excited for fall fashion. Sweaters, boots, scarves, everything! Because even though I own way too many sweaters already… if they’re on sale, it doesn’t count right?

Sweaters are a staple for me in the fall and winter, but lately I have been trying to branch out in the color department. I realize all my sweaters were beige, maybe a few black ones, but almost zero color! So look out everyone! We’re getting crazy this year… and by crazy I mean some merlot and army greens in the mix. I love all of these picks for fall because they are perfect staple that can be worn over and over and styled in so many different ways.
I have realized that my pants/skirts game has been pretty weak when it comes to fall fashion. I usually rely on my torn jeans, and not that they’re amazing, and not that you don’t need another pair 🙂 but this sale has some great options that I would love to style this fall! They are great options to keep it casual, maybe with some simple sneakers, and even style it up a bit with some simple pumps!

Now, while sometimes I fight the need to wear a jacket, as I’ve grown up it has turned from a necessity of survival (living in the midwest) as well as a fashion statement. The best thing about fall is that you can get away with a light and really cute one! No parka’s necessary… yet. There is nothing better than a cute bootie. I firmly believe that booties are the most necessary part to a fall/winter wardrobe. If you don’t have 2-3 pairs that you have on rotation throughout the fall and winter? Now is the time to do so! Now, check out these beauties 🙂

Doesn’t it just make you feel fancy? And brands know how to do it these days! So many styles that are the perfect piece to your fancy NYE holiday party outfit. I love this jacket for so many reasons, too!
First, it’s a bomber-style jacket, and who doesn’t love a good bomber. But because of the cut of the jacket it gives it a hint of casual to your look. That and the varsity stripes on the neck and the sleeves, it has a sporty feel to it as well! So if you’re looking for a piece that will totally fit the NYE vibes, but also something that you can wear throughout the rest of the year, this is your jacket!
This whole look has a sporty vibe to it. From the jacket, to the graphic tee, combined with the joggers. Which is a style I love! If you really want to go all out on New Years Eve, go for it! But if you’d prefer to keep it mellow, but still fit the holiday spirit? A look like this is perfect for that
The joggers? Beyond! I love the satin feel of these, and I think that they are beyond versatile. I know, I use that word probably too much. But because of their ‘versatility’, you don’t have to worry about having another piece of clothing hanging in your closet that you never wear.
Another great feature of this jacket is the fuzzy nature of the fabric. It’s a subtle fur because of the sequins, which is a nice subtle hit, plus keeps you super warm during these completely frigid nights in Michigan.
This graphic tee is also beyond adorable. It says ‘winter time, summer mind’ which is the absolute truth! Beyond NYE celebrations, I love this graphic tee trend that is hitting the market. It’s always been popular, but these days you have really great brands getting some really great phrases on their styles. Sol Angeles that you can find at Anthropologie has an amazing selection. And the best part? They’re not cheesy! Which can commonly be an issue when trying to find a good graphic

I’m a sucker for a good jumpsuit and a longline sweater
I love this look for this time of year because it’s a great way to fancy up your outfit a bit, but not freeze your butt off! This sweater jacket is incredibly warm. I wore it a few weeks ago in Minnesota when it was freezing, and I was surprisingly comfortable.
And the jumpsuit? Well this piece is beyond versatile and can be worn in so many ways plus could be adorable this spring too! Pair with a cute pair of colorful pumps and duster jacket, and you are good to go! But for now… this is the perfect combo that I’m going to stick with
One of my favorite things about this sweater is the longline fitting. I mention this style in previous posts but this is such a flattering style, that I just keep purchasing. I’m more on the pear-shape when it comes to my posterior :-O so these styles that hide those features are a huge hit in my household. It’s also a great style to pair with this jumpsuit because of the short leg style. If you pair it with a jacket that’s too short, you could cut off your whole body and the outfit could make you look shorter and wider than you’d like.
But the shorter legs, mean you can show off some new pumps that you got and have been dying to wear! You know the ones 😉

And lovin’ every minute of it.
My high school’s colors were the best shades of blue, and this outfit makes me reminisce to those days. And makes me realize how much I loved this shade of blue.
This season, velvet is everywhere and I’m loving it!! It makes this cobalt blue even more stunning and with every angle that the light hits it, it just stuns more and more. I know, some styles in velvet scream 90’s follies. But most companies know how to do it right these days. And these shoes and bomber, prove it.
During the fall, I find it so easy to fall in a color rut; sticking with my favorite sweaters and pieces which are a collection of beige, brown and grey. So one of my objectives this season is to wear more color, be more bold, don’t be afraid to wear a pop! This outfit checks that box, and while I was nervous it would be too bold, and I wouldn’t like it… PLOT TWIST! I loved it 😀
Ankle-wrap heels are pretty popular right now too, and these are one of two pairs that I currently own. While pointy-toe pumps are beautiful in their simplicity, I don’t think all ankle-wrap shoes are a hit. I think that the colors need to compliment each other, or the fabric! These shoes are great because of the fabric and the texture, but otherwise if it was a simpler texture and all the same color I don’t think I would be as big a fan.
But I have found myself having trouble finding the right bottoms to pair with these shoes. Do you wear ankle jeans so they stop right at the ankle wrap? How about a skirt? What if the pants you want to wear lie longer than they should? Could I wrap it over the pants?
I’m sticking with the simple options, pants that fall just above the ankle wrap. I don’t think I’m bold enough to wear the wrap over the fabric of my pants. I’ve seen some style it that way on the runway, but I don’t think that will translate to real life.
I like the idea of a cute skirt with these as well! Perhaps a neutral midi dress? Hmmm… the wheels are turning!
This has also become a bit of a “[buy] this, not that”! I started coming up with this outfit with the shoes because well… duh! When I got to the jacket piece, I ran into a bit of an issue. All the options that I found were $200 or higher! Now, I know I talk about making certain investments in your closet, but a blue and velvet jacket?? That isn’t exactly the staple piece I was thinking.
The initial idea came from the matching J.Crew bomber that I saw when I bought the heels… which was $250. Then I found one at my go-to spot, Revolve, which was like $500!!! Nooooo thank you. Just as I was about to give up… I then found this gem. And when I saw that it was as affordable as it was? Well… I couldn’t check out fast enough.
