THIS VENTURE

If I had a penny for every time I opened my laptop to start a blog…

I’d probably be doing pretty well! Over the years I have had countless friends and family tell me that I should start a site, and for different causes: health, recipes, style. And I listened to them! In the past five years I have started at least 6 different blogs. But rushed doing it. I rushed the creating of the site, didn’t have any content, had no real direction, and just went for it.

Fast forward to two weeks after each site’s conception… was the demise. I just didn’t put the work into it that I needed to in order to make it something I was going to be proud of. Then I reprioritized. I took a year to simply develop the site – no content – just the site. And slowly from there morphed the direction and focus of what I knew I needed to do.

I immersed myself in research. Followed every blogger that I felt was genuine, took classes and workshops on social media and the blogging world. I soon realized how passionate and intelligent this group of people are! Driven, and creative, this demographic creates content that people want. I was hooked

So I began this journey. I had the website, the direction, the intent. I was ready. I have found out so much about myself and about this industry and I am so excited to be just a very small part of it.

What can you expect to find here? Honesty. Straight up 100. Yes, I’ll be posting about outfits and style, along with recipes and work outs, but I’m never going to back anything or post anything that I don’t truly believe in. I’m a 28-year-old that has had my fair share of pretenders and people trying to tell me what I should think. No thanks. I’m plenty opinionated on my own, no need to have other people insert their own.

While we would like it to be – life isn’t always acas bowls, green juices, and yoga classes. Usually it’s expired snacks in your pantry, vegetables that went bad in your fridge, and a workout consisting of running up and down the stairs to grab laundry. Does this sound maybe faintly familiar?

That’s just reality. But sometimes we can make the slightest of changes that make all the difference. And bit by bit, we’re healthier, happier, and have more energy to run up those stairs to get the laundry 😉

So join me on this journey! Join me in what makes me happier and healthier. What makes me feel like I can conquer the world and gives me hope that tomorrow can be even more exciting than today!
