Odds are if you have opened up Pinterest or Instagram once in the past year, you have seen a picture or read an article or tried a recipe for Frose.

It is all the rage

And for good reason! It’s delicious! Now, I like my glass of wine every now and then, but I prefer a delicious cocktail that I could sip on and enjoy. And this is a great way to do that and stay refreshed.

I love it so much, it was literally my specialty cocktail during cocktail hour at our wedding. We called it the ‘blushing bride’ (clever huh?)

Now, what I love about this version is that there is no added sugar aside from the Elderflower Lemonade. Which you can add for taste. Other cocktails have simple syrup or added sugars for flavor which I am just not a fan of. For one… it’s sugar. And secondly, that’s what gives me a headache the next morning. #adulthangovers. So this cocktail is great to try if you are having a summer get-together that you want to look fancy, but is incredibly simple!

There are so many different recipes out there, take a quick search and try a few! I mean, that just means more cocktails for you 🙂

  • 1 bottle Rose of choice
  • ice cube tray
  • 4 oz. Elderflower Lemonade – you can find at Whole Foods, and some grocery stores and some Target locations
  • Strawberries – for garnish, or fruit/herb of choice

Pour the full bottle of rose into your ice cube tray and freeze overnight or a few days beforehand.

In a blender combine the frozen rose and the elderflower lemonade in a blender. The amount of liquid and the time to blend is totally up to you. Depending on how thick/thin you want your drink this is up to you!

*I used the 4 oz and blended until just combined and looked like a slushy. Keep in mind that it will melt! So don’t get it too thin otherwise you won’t get that frozen effect.

I put a single slice through the strawberry, rubbed it along the rim of the glass for taste and kept it there for garnish. Looks pretty, right?
